Alanis Morissette faked a sickie, and got caught out.

Alanis.

Alanis, Alanis, Alanis.

Alanis Morissette pulled a fake sickie and got caught out. But it gets worse.

She lied to a CHARITY.

Alanis signed on to perform at a charity event. She was going to smash out some girl-power angsty vocals at the Fertile Futures benefit in Ottawa, an organisation that helps cancer survivors with fertility after treatment.

A bunch of fans/randoms/philanthropists forked out $400 per ticket, for the sake of charity, and having one hand in their ironic pocket.

Alanis reportedly phoned in sick at the last minute. Probably maybe coughed a bit over the phone, so the boss knew she wasn’t faking it.

And then, on the day of the event, she posted photos of herself on Twitter, casually sunning it up at a beach location.

DAMMIT, TWITTER.

Her publicist quickly told the media that it was an old photo… but hmmmmm. Alanis, let this be a lesson. If you call in sick… DON’T POST HEALTHY PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Here’s what Twitter said afterwards:
