It was a set of $5000 diamond cuff earings for Alicia Keys, a white suit jacket that acted as a dress for Miley Cyrus, but for Katy Perry the ultimate accessory was her grandmother.
Katy took her granny to the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, held in Las Vegas overnight. Before the event she tweeted: “My date to tonight’s Billboard Music Awards is hotter than the Las Vegas weather. SMOKIN’!”

Also on the red carpet was Taylor Swift, Justin Beiber and Zooey Deschanel. Adele won 12 of the 46 awards of the night (but was a no show) and remember Brandy? She was there too.
It was also the night Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina made her first public appearance since her mother’s death earlier this year.
