Two female sailors in the US have became the first same-sex couple to share the age-old “first kiss” on the pier after one of them returned from 80 days at sea. It was the first time on record that a same-sex couple has been chosen to kiss after a return, according to the Navy.

Navy officers Marissa Gaeta and Citlalic Snell honored a Navy tradition on by sharing kissing as the USS Oak Hill returned from 80 days at sea. They are the first same-sex couple to share the first kiss tradition after a ship returns home.
