Promoting her new movie The Paperboy, Nicole Kidman has gotten her gear off for V magazine. The September travel issue has the 45-year-old Australian actress dressed in a very, very small black and gold skirt. Take a look:

Taking to the UK press this week, Nicole talked about the age-old dilemma of working mums – trying to make sure every aspect of your life gets the attention it deserves:
The Oscar-winning actress – who has daughters Sunday, four, and 19-month-old Faith, with husband Keith Urban – says it’s a struggle finding the balance as she wants to spend as much time as possible with them.
Nicole – who also has two children, Isabella, 19, and 17-year-old Connor, with ex-husband Tom Cruise – said: ‘Time is so precious and I love the sound of them and the feel of them.
‘I just don’t want to miss anything, and I don’t want them to go ‘Where’s my mom?’ So I’m working through that.’

We often complain highly sexualised images of women and what message they send out. Why on earth does nicole have to be photographed with her boobs and butt in our faces? She’s a talented actress, works for charities, certainly a highly successful woman and yet she still has to prove she’s hot by posing like a stripper? hey Mamamia, I think there could be an interesting article on famous women who look good but will just never be seen as “sexy” no matter how hard they try. personally I think Nicole looks good (although a bit try hard re the OTT styling and airbrushing) but I’m guessing most men won’t think so. it’s the same with other actresses such as Gywneth Paltrow – women may think they are good looking but they leave men cold. Nicole is a classic example of this and I doubt these pix will help her. not the first time she’s done this kind of spread, actually.
as a woman I’d be interested in hearing from a man’s perspective why this is so. maybe you could get a male writer or editor to write something for you?

Years ago I read an article about that in relation to Nicole, so I asked the guys I knew what they thought of her. All but one said she was hot. I know when I was younger all the guys thought she was awesome after pics of her in The Blue Room came out, and those that actually saw her in it thought she was sex on legs.
I find it funny that lists of women men supposedly don’t find sexually attractive eg. Nicole, Gwyneth are often people women don’t particularly like. I doubt many guys would turn down Nicole, maybe we just like to imagine they would.

I think Ali Flint, she had done lots of parts like this before, like the movie where she had a bath with a ten year old boy . She is an amazing actress and seems to be drawn to interesting characters, regardless of whether they are trashy, or homicidal teachers, (to die for), or Virginia Wolfe. movies are about telling stories, and Nicole is widely regarded as very good at it. I love watching her whatever role she chooses because I know the characters are always fascinating. I’m always surprised at the tall poppy syndrome though in this country.
