$1000?! That’s how much Miley Cyrus is rumoured to have paid for a haircut by the same celebrity stylist who bestowed the ‘Rachel’ upon us back in the ‘90s.

The 19-year-old paid a visit to Hollywood’s ‘Mane Man’ Chris McMillan, who turned her brown hair blonde. Meanwhile, Miley kept her Twitter followers happy with a minute-by-minute account of the action.

Chris McMillan gets to work on Miley's hair.

And for all of you wringing your hands with anxiety over the fate of Miley’s trademark high bun, which even has a Twitter account in its honour, fear not. A quick test ensured the cut was still topknot-friendly.

“Whew. Still fits in bun,” the hair dresser tweeted.

Indeed.

But seriously – could the whole thing be more contrived?! All of that posing, blah!

Can’t believe I am saying this about anyone with the last name Cyrus (definite reference to the Cyrus mullet of yore). But I am totally Miley Cyrus hair envious!
Not the colour, but what a great cut!!
