Dannii Minogue has talked publicly for the first time since she and partner Kris Smith ended their relationship last month.
In an interview with Marie Claire Australia, The Australia’s Got Talent judge said: ‘Fame and work have always had an impact on my family since I went into this business at seven years of age…. It’s all I know.’
Dannii and Kris have a 21-month-old son, Ethan, together and in the interview talked candidly about being a working mother. “How do I juggle everything now? Some days with ease, some days with difficulty,” she said. “I have found that over the years, whatever happens, you have to roll with it.”
“The guilt of going back to work floods you,” she said. “I try to take it all in my stride, but when it affects my loved ones I feel an internal struggle with the love for my work.”

I think she is a selfish woman who put her so called career before her family. Unfortunately she paid the price.

I dunno but I from her comment about work impacting her family life isn’t she implying that was the cause? I know if my career was impacting my family life to the extent my relationship with my children’s father was on the rocks …. Well, bugger the career! My family HAS to come first – I’ve seen too many broken marriages and families to convince me career is more important. You can ALWAYS go back to work … You can’t piece a family back together.

Every time I read of someone being referred to as a celebrity, I find myself checking the dictionary to check on the definition of celebrity.
Then I find myself questioning the definition.
Society places to much emphasis on fame.

Watch the interview with Piers Morgan and you will see a completely different side of her. Much softer, more vulnerable, more down-to-earth. She’s a working mum – please stop the judgements & give her a break!

Leave Dannii alone I love her.

I can’t stand her. Watched a documentary of her launching her fashion line in the UK, and she had just found out she was pregnant, she came across as incredibly self involved and selfish!

she did this article before the split with Kris.

Funny I didn’t read that bit Anon, what line did she say or imply that bit in?

So… she put her work before her family then? Nice.

Oh good. Women judging each other. Clearly she adores her family, but her career is part of her identity. Why would she stop a part of what makes her happy?

As a single working mother, I find this offensive. I don’t work to “put myself first”. I work almost full time because my kids come first and to give them what they need I have to work that much. I split myself a thousand ways, trying to be everyithing to everyone, leaving little time for myself. I’m sure Dani is the same. Who are you to judge until you’ve done it.
