Bachelor winner and mum of one Alex Nation has revealed falling pregnant at 18 meant she became the subject of judgemental comments from both friends and strangers.
In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, the 27-year-old said although many of her friends at the time struggled with the idea that she was pregnant, she persisted with the pregnancy and with her relationship with her son’s father, Joel.
However, perhaps more confrontingly, it was the response of strangers and their desire to judge her without knowing her that she recalls the most.

after reading this article it has brought up so many memories of my teen pregnancy I too fell pregnant at 18 and its a whirlwind of emotions judgements and finding out just who was going to stand by you and support you and your child I was lucky to have my mother father and sister who excepted what was to be. I did find out who my true friends where through this time and in away it surprised me.
I was talk of the town gossips. I knew once the baby came into the world he was going to rely on me.(as father removed himself completely) So I put aside all the haters nasty comments stepped up and become a mother. And I would not change a thing I am now 38 my son is 19 and doing well I did not break him I made him into a strong young man with morals, confidence.
So to all the judgemental people its not an easy choice but single teen mums are no different then married mothers we all go through ups and downs and just want our children to be happy.
Eh, people are entitled to their opinion. It's extremely rude to go up to her mum in the supermarket and make comments, but of course people are going to privately comment to their friends if they think it's a terrible decision. There are strong reasons for that opinion!
