Pop culture queens – it's here.

The List.

Which list? You know... THE List... The 'most influential social media moguls' from Down Under list.

Okay, alright, so you might not have heard of this particular list before, but it's about to be a big old blip on your radar because it ranks the most powerful social media influencers of 2023.

The list was published by Media Week and we must tell you, the results brought up mixed emotions.

When we think of the Aussies with the most social media influence, a few key characters come to mind. Hamish Blake, for instance, or his ridiculously successful and iconic wife, Zoe Foster-Blake.

(Spoiler alert: they didn't even make the top 10.)

Watch Celeste Barber get crafty in the kitchen. Post continues after video.

To better understand the list, you must first understand the rules – and yes, there are rules, because not just anyone can be considered for this holiest of social media rankings.

To be considered for this particular ranking, you have to be an Australian, with a 'creator' or 'business' profile and have at least 400K followers – and at least 30 per cent of those followers need to be Australian.

So without further ado, here are the Australian influencers who apparently wield the greatest social media power.

10. Kayla Itsines.

With more than 44.9 million followers on Instagram and a reach of 939.1K, Itsines is averywell-known name, but for those who aren't already signed up to her workouts, here's a refresher:

Kayla is one of the biggest fitness girlies around – she is a personal trainer, author and entrepreneur.

Probably best known for her workout app, Sweat with Kayla, the fitness guru is coming hot at number 10.

9. Loserfruit

Coming in at number nine we have Loserfruit, a streamer on the gaming live-streaming site Twitch. With more than 8.9 million followers and 1.3 million in reach, she's clearly got some pull.

Loserfruit is known as both a content creator and streamer, best known for playing games likeFortnite, Among UsandValorant. And our initial thoughts on this one are... none really, considering we didn't know she existed until five minutes ago.

8. Lauren Curtis

Lauren Curtis is one of the original social media gals, emerging on the scene in 2011 back when we weren't sure what an influencer even was. Lauren gained most of her following from her YouTube days, where she mainly posted beauty and fashion content.
