The replacements for Ita Buttrose and Jessica Rowe on Studio 10 have been announced.

Studio 10 announced on Friday morning the two new panellists who will be joining Joe Hildebrand, Sarah Harris and Denise Drysdale on the morning television show.

In early March, 2018, author and accomplished journalist Jessica Rowe announced she had made the “difficult” decision to leave Studio 10.

A little over one month later, Ita Buttrose said she too would be leaving the breakfast program after four-and-a-half years.

Studio 10 posted on Instagram at 10am, that entertainment editor Angela Bishop, and stand-up comedian and actor Denise Scott, would be replacing Buttrose and Rowe.

“ANNOUNCEMENT,” the post read. “We are so excited to welcome Angela Bishop & Denise Scott to #Studio10 as permanent panel members!”

The two have regularly appeared on the program as guest hosts.

Rowe announced she was finishing up on Studio 10 on March 9, and said her decision had been “difficult” but was made because “my family need me”.

“I want to be more present; I want to be a present mum for my girls. Allegra and Giselle, they need their mum. And I want to be there in the mornings for them, I want to take them to school, I want to do canteen duty – heaven help them with the sandwiches. But it’s something that I need to do. It’s as simple as that,” the 47-year-old, who had been on the panel for four-and-a-half years told the audience.

Buttrose made her announcement on April 24, and said, “… it is time for me to move on and focus on other parts of my life, including spending more time with my grandchildren and writing.

“There comes a time in your life where you have to decide what else you want to do with your life.”

Their replacements, Bishop and Scott, have been well received by social media.
