When future generations study 2020 in history class, they’ll probably discuss just how strange it is that in the midst of a global pandemic, the entire world became obsessed with a “gay, gun-toting cowboy with a mullet” and his roadside zoo.

Because it really is… weird, huh. We can’t explain it, but all we know is we long for anyTiger King-related content – which is why we were so excited for the new episode Netflix released on Sunday.

The episode turned out to be a series of interviews between comedian and actor Joel McHale and various people related to Joe Exotic, including his ex-employees, ex-husband, and ex-business partner Jeff Lowe.

The trailer for Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness. Post continues below video.

On one hand, we learned a lot – like how Exotic was terrified of the big cats he held captive and posed with – but on the other, the after show left us wanting… more. More difficult questions, more scrutiny of interviewees, more… Carole Baskin?

Here are the best reactions to Netflix’s new episode,The Tiger King and I.

Why did they both laugh slightly about Saff’s arm? #tigerkingandi #TigerKing pic.twitter.com/Ie1pFdBOpp

I think Saff should be president and I don’t feel the need to expand on this. #tigerkingandi

watching the new tiger king episode and erik cowie remains my favorite person from the doc for many reasons. but mostly bc when joel asked him about being compared to vince neil he said “I f*king hate motley crue”

— Ben (@stephbenmca) April 13, 2020

Saff & Reinke were the two most reasonable/logical people on the whole series #TigerKing pic.twitter.com/91pDVCDrcJ

The only value in watching the newest Tiger King episode is learning the skeleton is in the golf cart because John Reinke said it’s his only friend so he brings it with him everywhere he goes… So make of that what you will. pic.twitter.com/hZWrRFcUbu

“I don’t do meth. I like sleep too much.” Thank you, Erik Cowie, for my new favorite quote. #TigerKing

Can we please get Joe’s former campaign manager therapy? Can we GoFundMe that or something? #TigerKingAndI

My favourite thing about the entire interview is Rick Kirkham insisting that he “can’t even take a walk down to the fjord without getting recognised”.

why is no one talking about john finlay’s transformation?! #TigerKing pic.twitter.com/i31uhFqrGf

The #tigerkingandi is a rush by Netflix and wasn’t needed. It’s too close to the release of the documentary and added no value. Seemed like an advertisement for iPhone and EarPods.

I know Joe Exotic is interesting and charismatic and whatnot but he -among other things- abused animals and took advantage of drug addicts, it’s fair punching babes

— G. L. (@ginadivittorio) April 13, 2020

On the new episode of tiger king, they touched more on the animal abuse. Joe nonchalantly would shoot and kill perfectly healthy animals for reasons as little as making space in a cage (six young tigers) or because he didn’t wanna take care of said animal. he can rot in jail ????

So, some Tiger King fans are really on here blasting Joel Mchale for making fun of Joe Exotic. pic.twitter.com/nCHVUWiPrT

So yes. The new episode was fine, but we still need a 12-part investigation into the disappearance of Don Lewis. Among other things.

Ok so now that we’re done with #tigerking I would like to ask for a documentary on that guy who is featured for only a second that the movie Scarface is apparently based on. Like idk why he was only featured for 5 minutes but I could do 5 hours?? #TigerKingNetflix pic.twitter.com/AmuSOcu1FQ
