In suitably predictable news, reality TV fans aren’t impressed with the outcome of an episode, venting their frustrations on social media.

What a novelty.

On Wednesday night’s My Kitchen Rules, Josh and Nic were booted from the competition, with Kim and Suong advancing to the grand final. Viewers were quick to voice their disdain for the decision, going as far to say, perhaps, the show was “rigged”.

They took issue with the dessert Kim and Suong plated up, with many calling it “rubber” and “inedible”. Many therefore wondered how the two could score a 9 for a dessert that wasn’t overly popular.

didn’t really understand tonight’s scoring… the judges could merely eat kim and suong’s dessert, yet they get 9’s and the boys get 7’s for a bad sauce? although i am happy for kim and suong, i just think it was a little bit unfair. ???? #MKR

WTF, the comments and scores for Josh and Nic just don’t add up? Their critique was great. Kim and Suong’s dessert was shiiiiiit just to top it off yet they scored better? #MKR

The cook-off entailed both teams making a three-course meal for the judges. Kim and Suong won by just four points, scoring a total of 49 points out of 60.

While the overriding sense was that Josh and Nic had three consistently good meals, others argued Kim and Suong's especially strong entree and main meant they deserved the spot.

What do you think? Did Nic and Josh deserve the grand final spot?
