Khloe Kardashian has opened up about her decision to stop breastfeeding baby True.

Reality television star Khloe Kardashian gave birth to daughter True on April 12, and this week, she’s opened up about why she had to stop breastfeeding and use formula instead.

The 34-year-old tweeted: “I had to stop breastfeeding. It was hard for me to stop (emotionally) but it wasn’t working for my body. Sadly.”

Kardashian added, “Ugh it wasn’t that easy for me.”

The conversation on Twitter began when one fan tweeted the new mum, asking how she manages breastfeeding and working.

“I tried every trick in the book – water, special [lactation] cookies, power pumping, massages etc,” Kardashian said in the thread.

“I tried so very hard to continue.”

Kardashian also revealed that she had hired a lactation specialist to help, but breastfeeding still didn’t work for her. She later thanked fans who shared similar stories. One mentioned that it was a relief to stop because she was so stressed about producing milk, to which Kardashian responded:

“Oh my gosh I was the same!! I fought and fought to try and continue but then when I actually stopped, I didn’t realize what a relief it was for me to not stress and worry anymore.”

She continued, “Any sec I had of downtime I was stressing to produce more for the next feeding.”

Kardashian couldn’t help but compare her experience to that of her sister, Kourtney, who did not struggle with milk production.

“For Kourt it was soooooooo easy for her to breast feed. My experience was very different.”
