Jimmy Bartel has responded to rumours that he has split with his wife of five years, Nadia Bartel, with whom he shares two children.

“I am probably not going to provide any commentary on it,” he said.

“I know I am in the public eye and people are interested, but it is a private matter and I ask for a bit of respect because obviously Nadia and the boys [are] involved.”

Asked if he’ll continue to be at work in light of the difficult time, Bartel responded: “I still enjoy coming to work and I love working with everybody in football. I love the game so I can’t see why I wouldn’t keep showing up for work.”

"Everyone knows when it’s time," the chef, who left alongside Matt Preston and George Calombaris told News Corp. "I made a promise to myself that when you have a job like that – and we always used to joke that we had the three best jobs in television – that when it was time to go, we would all know.

"I think we all felt it was time or it was really close to hand it on to someone else."

He continued: "I was lucky enough to occupy a place and time in food and TV where I felt I was in the most wonderful food bubble and if it ever felt like a job, it was time to move on and do something else."

In July this year, Channel 10 made the announcement before the season finale, saying: “Despite months of negotiation, 10 has not been able to reach a commercial agreement that was satisfactory to Matt, Gary and George."

According to The Daily Telegraph, the three are now pursuing a “multimillion-dollar” deal with a major streaming service.

The show would likely see the former judges travel to different countries, particularly in India where the trio are popular.

Right now, Aussie actress Margot Robbie is arguably one of the biggest deals in Hollywood.

Starring alongside Brad Pitt and Leonardo Di Captio, the 29-year-old is being praised for her portrayal of the late movie star Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino's new movie, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.

But before she was ~famous~, Robbie has admitted she had a weird hobby that kept her occupied in LA while waiting for the phone to ring.

In an interview for Vogue, the The Wolf of Wall Street and I, Tonya star told Tarantino that she and another Aussie actor trying to make it big would, no kidding, hang out at the spot where Tate was murdered.

"After I first moved to LA, another Aussie actor [former Home and Away star] Rhys Wakefield and I used to drive up to Cielo Drive [where she was murdered]," she said.

"Seriously, that was our thing. We'd go in the middle of the night and read Helter Skelter out loud to freak ourselves out. It wasn't until reading [the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood] script that I suddenly went, 'Oh my god, I've only ever thought about this woman dead.'"
