The Spill: Monday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. Everything we know about the wild rumour Jackie O is dating Dr Chris Brown.

Well. This certainly isn’t the rumour we were expecting to hear today (or anytime ever).

According to New Idea, KIIS FM radio host Jackie O Henderson and everyone’s favourite vet, Dr Chris Brown, are currently dating. And apparently, they’ve been privately meeting up at Bondi Beach in Sydney.

“Word is they’ve been hanging out in Bondi,” the source supposedly told the publication.

“[Coronavirus lockdowns] have actually been perfect timing for them, because they have months to explore things in private without the added stress of being busted out in public together.”

Oddly enough, it’s not the first time the pair have been caught up in romance rumours after Jackie O announced her split from ex-husband Lee in October 2018.

In February last year, Kyle Sandilands asked if Jackie O was dating Chris during their radio show.

Jackie (understandably) struggled to find an answer before Chris interrupted to say “Lost for words! I get that a lot in love, it’s a sure sign of love.”

Alas, both denied being anything more than friends.

2. ‘I’d give away every handbag just to see him again.’ MAFS’ Stacey Hampton has opened up about her tragic family history.

This story mentions suicide and may be triggering for some readers.

Stacey Hampton from Married At First Sight has opened up about her tragic family history in a YouTube video.

The 25-year-old law graduate explained how she lost her father to suicide, before losing her older brother in a motorcycle accident on the day she was due to give birth to her son.

“You should get to know the people you’re watching and you should have an insight into why they are the way that they are,” Stacey began.

“The reason I am where I am is because I have lost people in my life. I’m not blessed, I’m not lucky and I’m not entitled. I have nice things, but it doesn’t mean I’m happy. I’d give away every single handbag I have, I’d give away my car, anything, just to make sure my kids are happy or to have my brother back or to see my dad.”

Stacey said she grew up with her mother and three siblings and spent years not knowing about what really happened to her father.

“I didn’t ask until I started primary school. I thought maybe he was in jail or something. It didn’t feel right. Every time I broached it with my mum, she would break down or go to the other room or something. I was so confused,” she said.

“When I was old enough, I asked my sister and she told me: When I was one, my father killed himself on New Year’s Day. Hearing that was like automatic guilt. I blamed myself. I used to lay in bed thinking, ‘Was I the reason? Did he not want or love me?'”

The mother of two also explained how after her father’s death, his estate from working as a senior figure in the mining industry, was put into a trust for her.

“That money is nothing. I didn’t know [my father], but I’d throw that money in the bin just to talk to him, to ask him what was going on, why he would leave us so hurt and damaged,” she said.

3. Magda Szubanski has brought back Sharon for an ISO dance video and it is everything.

“A special Sharon shout out to all our healthcare workers, on the frontline and behind the scenes. To paraphrase Sir Elton John: ‘I know it’s not much, but it’s the best I can do. My gift is my dance and… this one’s for you’.”

Big Little Lies actress Shailene Woodley has spoken for the first time about an illness that very nearly ended her career before it'd even begun.

In a new interview with The New York Times, the 28-year-old said she had to "surrender and let go of her career" to look after her physical health at a time when she was just starting to make a name for herself in Hollywood.

"I haven’t spoken much about this yet publicly, and I will one day, but I was very, very sick in my early 20s," the Divergent and The Fault In Our Stars star told the publication.

"While I was doing the Divergent movies and working hard, I also was struggling with a deeply personal, very scary physical situation. Because of that, I said no to a lot of opportunities because I needed to get better, and those jobs ended up going to peers of mine who I love."

Stopping short of sharing specific details about her condition, Woodley said that time of her life felt like "being in a washing machine, where you’re being thrown all over the place."

"There was a mix of people saying, “You shouldn’t have let that go!” or “You shouldn’t have been sick!” That was combined with my own internal process of, “Am I going to survive what I’m going through right now and ever be healthy, or even have the opportunity to work on projects I’m passionate about again because of the situation I’m in? It brought out this negative voice in my mind that kept spinning for years and years afterward."

Woodley said she's now on the other side of that health struggle after spending the last few years focusing on her mental health, and the experience showed her what she wants out of life.

"I feel very grateful to have walked that line of fire, because now I know what I don’t want to ever go back to."

5. Karl Stefanovic is dad-dancing on TikTok and we've reached peak isolation.

We’re four months into 2020 and it’s fair to say we’re all going a little stir crazy.

Thank God TikTok is here to provide us with the kind of content we didn’t know we desperately needed in our lives a mere six months ago. Like approximately 590854906 videos of our colleagues dancing alone in their living rooms and slightly embarrassing… dad content.

Karl Stefanovic has become the latest celebrity dad to join the video dancing craze. Yep, we’ve officially hit peak isolation.

The Today show host has shared videos of himself dancing with his teenage daughter Ava, who he shares with his first wife Cassandra Thorburn.

In one video, Karl dances and switches outfits to Drake‘s ‘Nonstop’ with Ava. And it’s… premium dad content. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In another video, Karl can be seen doing some serious dad dancing to the popular Renegade song 'Lottery' by K-Camp. And again, this is the kind of content we would have found completely unnecessary just a few short months ago.
