"Nothing really compares." The makeup products 5 beauty experts reach for all summer long.

Fact: summer makeup is the best type of makeup.

The bronzed skin, rosy cheeks, and dewy finish suits absolutely everyone and requires little effort and even less product to achieve (our favourite kind).

With beauty brands constantly releasing new products, and so many of them promising a "radiant glow", we asked five beauty experts what they actually use in summer. Specifically, we were after their go-to makeup product.

From a "no fuss" glow stick to the best BB cream, here's what they shared.

Erin Docherty, Senior Beauty Writer and co-host of You Beauty.

Chanel Baume Essentiel, $71.

"My go-to summer product would have to be the Chanel Baume Essentiel. It's a multi-use glow stick that I've been obsessing over for yonks - I'm always yabbering on about it. For good reason, though! It just gives your skin the healthiest, most natural-looking radiance, and is a brilliant little multitasker - perfect for using on your face (cheekbones, cupid's bow, the bridge of your nose), your eyes and your lips. I also love that it's completely no fuss (I just swipe it on and blend with my fingers). Your skin looks dewy, juicy and like you actually drink eight litres of water a day. HA! As if."

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, $43.

"I often don't wear a lot of makeup in the summer - I literally can't be bothered. Though something I'll always apply, even if I am fresh-faced, is eyebrow pencil. My brows are really patchy without it so I prefer to fill them in - it makes me feel more 'done'. This one from Anastasia Beverly Hills applies beautifully and is soft and creamy, but then doesn't budge. The perfect mix in humid weather."

Ciaté London Dewy Stix Body, $37.

"[I love] the Ciate London Dewy Stix Body. I'll wear this when I am showing off my body at the beach, down the street, and even at home. It is essentially the secret to freshly glossed skin that screams 'I'm ultra-hydrated'."

Hourglass Veil™ Soft Focus Setting Spray, $68.

"Ugh, summer in Australia is hot as balls! I wear very little makeup during this time - literally just a bit of concealer, mascara and a dab of cream highlighter and blush. But even the bare minimum still slides all over my face when it's 763 degrees. So, December to March is what I like to call 'setting spray season'! Something I wouldn't bother with during winter becomes a complete non-negotiable in summer, and I love, love, LOVE this Hourglass one as it gets the job done, without ever feeling like it's 'on'. No sticky residue, holds for up to 24 hours and gives my skin an airbrushed, dewy look."

Share The Base LB Cream, $42.

"My fave makeup product in summer has to be the Share The Base LB Cream. My look is usually dewy, glowy skin and the no-makeup makeup look. I find this gives me an effortless look that smooths out imperfections without making me look too done up. The SPF15 also gives me an additional layer of protection on top of my SPF50+. I’ve used other CC/BB creams but nothing really compares. So, this is my pick."
