Ariana Grande just gave us the sweet VMAs moment we didn't know we needed.

The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards have been a little beige this year.

Unlike the Golden Globes, Oscars and Grammys before it, the 2018 VMAs haven’t given us many memorable moments.

All of our dependable controversial red carpet celebrities went and decided not to show up (cc: Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, Rihanna, Drake, Justin Bieber, Blu Ivy) and even the acceptance speeches from the likes of Cardi B and Jennifer Lopez were brief.

Thankfully, Ariana Grande threw us a bone and pulled out the sweet VMAs moment we didn’t know we needed.

After making a PDA-filled entrance on the magenta carpet with fiance Pete Davidson, the 25-year-old singer performed her 2018 hit ‘God Is A Woman’ on stage at New York’s Radio City Hall.

Ariana and a diverse group of 50 'female apostles' recreated Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper, complete with Grecian, BC-sinpired outfits.

But even better than the actual performance, which was predictably amazing, was how it ended.

As a tribute to the strong women who raised her, Ariana ended her VMAs performance by bringing her mum, grandmother and aunt out onto the stage.

It's sweet and sentimental, and frankly, the best moment of the night.

Being able to share that time on-stage with her family was just one of the memorable moments for the singer, who also was awarded Best Pop Video for 'No Tears Left to Cry'.

Congrats, Ariana!
