When trends come and go as quickly as they do these days, you have to accept that some of them may pass you by.
Maybe you caught them just as they were leaving, or maybe it was a big ol' no no for you from the start.
Watch: The unusual staple you need in your wardrobe. Post continues below.
For me, that trend was Bermuda shorts. You know the ones. The long, down-to-your-knees, tailored shorts.
I saw my favourite Instagram girlies rocking them on the streets of London and thought, go you Glen Coco. But none for Gretchen Wieners (it's me, I'm Gretchen Wieners).
But, at the same time, I loved the look of them and the idea of a trans-seasonal alternative to wearing a skirt or tailored pants to work, so I started trying on a few pairs here and there.
To be honest, I was just getting frustrated. Each pair had something wrong with them. Too tight around the waist, too tight around the thighs, too long, too short. I literally just hated them all. Nope. No, thank you. Not for me.
That was until the wind blew me into Target one afternoon and I found this lovely pair that were only $40.

As soon as I put them on, I knew I had found the ones.
The proportions were exactly what I was going for. Shout out to the waist to thigh ratio as well (nothing worse than having to only choose one to fit properly).
But aesthetics aside, these were just so comfy! Plus, it doesn't hurt that they could fool anyone into thinking they're much more expensive than they are.

I've been styling them like the classic 'Margot Robbie', if you will, with a plain black or white long-sleeved shirt.
I'm personally a big ballet flat girl and think these make a great combination, but I've also seen some people sporting a long black boot with these that also looks fantastic.
You can shop this pair below before they sell out, along with some other options for every body and budget.
