Every now and then we make friendships that really just stay with us.

Whether it be a chance encounter with the mailman, or forming a bond with the person you sat next to on a plane, there are some people in life who really leave their mark.

For Brianna Cry, that person was Heii.

After meeting Heii in Hawaii in 2006, they became best friends for the night.

Twelve years later, Brianna posted a photo of the pair on Twitter.

“Hey twitter, I met this girl on a dinner cruise in Hawaii in 2006. We were basically best friends for that night so I need y’all to help me find my best friend cause I miss her and I need to see how she’s doing now,” she wrote.

“Please retweet this so we can be reunited,” she added.

The post quickly went viral. Twelve hours later, Heii tweeted back.

Posting a photo of herself holding a photo of her family in matching t-shirts on the Hawaii holiday, she wrote “Heard you were looking for me” and oh.

This is too much adorable wholesomeness for one day.

The people of Twitter continued to add a… hilarious twist to the whole thing, appropriating the success story to be reunited with other stuff.
