A snapshot of infidelity in six major Australian centres shows A LOT of Australians are having sex in the city – just not with their partner.

Ashley Madison, a site whose advertising guarantees “AFFAIRS NOW”, asked a million Australian members where they lived and if they were unfaithful to their partners. A lot said yes.

Especially in these areas:

Sydney.

The Sydney CBD topped the list.

Membership – 272,618

Top suburbs for infidelity (per capita ranking): 1. City 10.2% 2. Chipping Norton 9.8% 3. Parramatta 9.4% 4. Darling Point 8.7% 5. Surry Hills 8.1% 6. North Sydney 7.8% 7. Blacktown 7.6% 8. Dover Heights 6.6% 9. East Killara 6.2% 10. Emu Heights 5.8%

Melbourne.

In Melbourne (pictured), Essendon was at the top of the list.

Membership – 234,031

Top suburbs for infidelity: 1. Essendon 10.3% 2. Parkdale 9.6% 3. Toorak 9.2% 4. Brighton 8.9% 5. Coburg 8.1% 6. Westmeadows 7.7% 7. Maidstone 7.3% 8. Montmorency 6.6% 9. Burnside 6.4% 10. South Kingsville 5.8%

Brisbane.

In Brisbane (pictured) Bulimba had the highest rate.
