A US man has shared the heated text exchange he had with his sister over babysitting his niece and anyone with a particularly ungrateful sibling is relating hard.

The twenty-something guitarist who lives in upstate New York uploaded to Reddit the argument he had with his sister in a series of text screenshots. And boy, did things escalate.

It started by the unnamed sister asking her brother if he can babysit her daughter. Fair enough. As the man explained in the comments, he does this regularly and likes hanging out with the six-year-old.

The problem arises when the sister insists that she can’t drop her daughter off because she “doesn’t have snow tyres”. That’s despite them living in an area of the US that regularly receives heavy snowfall in winter.

And that's when our poster lashes out, but also asking how she's planning to get to work then. A question she ignores, instead choosing to get upset and insult the musician by trashing his music.

But when she insists the "least" he could do is help her, she's obviously hit a trigger point. And, like only a sibling can, he rattles offeverygrievance he has with his sister, finishing off my sending her a link to where she can buy snow tyres.

But the sister isn't done with the conversation, and instead decides to trash his girlfriend.

So he decides to throw it right back, callingherboyfriend "a penis with hair".

The sister wasn't done yet though, and decided to try to get her borther's girlfriend - yes, the same one she brought as part of an attack of his selflessness - on side.

But it doesn't go to plan.

The girlfriend also unleashes, telling her would-be sister-in-law what she really thinks.

We can only guess what delightful words those last two final audio messages from the sister contained.

Now, to wait for the messages that follow once the sister realises the entire conversation has been posted on the internet. Hmmm... maybe not.
