It's been six months since Kyle Sandilands officially left The Kyle and Jackie O Show and had his contract with ARN terminated, following an on-air fight with his former co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson.

Since then, Sandilands has reached a $12 million cash settlement with his former employer ARN and launched his own broadcast show, Kyle Sandilands Live — which operates on a subscription-based app.

It seemed as though his legal stoush was over, but it turns out not completely.

The on-air fight that ended Kyle & Jackie O | Mamamia Out Loud

On Wednesday morning, Sandilands was handed what appeared to be legal documents while live on air.

His manager Bruno Bouchet, who followed Sandilands from ARN to produce his new show, interrupted Sandilands' broadcast, leaving the former radio star and the rest of his team confused in what appeared to be a strange stunt.

Bouchet walked up to Sandilands' desk and handed him the papers, which he said were a subpoena and a notice to produce documents.

"You have been served," Bouchet said.

"They were trying to get to you last night but they could only get to me so they asked me to pass it on to you. It's a subpoena for the trial."

Sandilands' former co-host's legal battle with ARN remains ongoing, with Henderson suing the media for wrongful termination after ARN Media ended both her and Sandilands' $100 million, ten-year deals in March this year. Sandilands, meanwhile, settled his wrongful termination case with ARN for $12 million in June.

On air, Sandilands asked for confirmation that the documents related to the lawsuit between ARN and Henderson.

"I'm very uncomfortable about that," he said.

Bouchet said the subpoena was for Jackie 'O' Henderson's lawsuit against ARN,

Bouchet noted that it included a notice to produce documents for the trial.

"I'll just put that in the bin… just tell them I'm overseas or something. Is that what happens? How do you get out of this?" Sandilands added as he threw the letter under his desk.

Newsreader Brooklyn Ross later asked for clarification on the papers, asking if ARN wanted Sandilands to "be on their side against Jackie".

"Well, that makes me feel very uncomfortable," Sandilands responded.

"I came in feeling great. I was a bit embarrassed about feeling sad last week and now you dump this s**t on me."

It follows Sandilands' emotional on-air reaction last week when he learnt that Henderson had accused him of causing her post-traumatic stress disorder, according to documents filed in her lawsuit.

Sandilands and Henderson were just over a year into their new deal to host ARN's KIIS FM breakfast show until 2034 when their relationship broke down.

Henderson is seeking $82 million from her former employer, claiming she was fired for exercising a workplace right.

Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation, a subsidiary of ARN Media, launched a counterclaim in April, seeking damages for breach of contract, losses in profit and advertising revenue and legal costs.

Henderson's case is expected to go to trial in October.
