I know. The heartbreak! The sadness! The stress of trying to track down one of the last bottles before they vanish from the shelves forever! Arghhh!

Not to sound dramatic, but this cheap-and-cheerful foundation that rivalled luxury versions (ahem, Giorgio Armani's $105 Luminous Silk Foundation) had the entire Mamamia office completely converted.

Obviously, our beauty gurus were all taken aback by this heart-wrenching news.

So, on a recent episode of You Beauty, Leigh Campbell — a self-confessed Flower Beauty foundation fan — just had to address the situation head-on.

While she admitted nothing will ever completely replace the OG, she did have a few tried-and-tested favourites that live in the same glowy, lightweight, skin-perfecting family.

Below are Leigh's top picks for anyone mourning their beloved Flower Beauty foundation.

Nude by Nature Moisture Infusion Foundation, $42.95.

"This has slightly more coverage," Leigh said, comparing it to Flower Beauty's Light Illusion Foundation.

"It was so sheer, so glowy, but not like you'd put a greasy, tinted sunscreen on. It really just made you look better but still like you."

Nud e by Nature Sheer Glow BB Cream, $32.95.

For a "really lightweight coverage option", this is a sheer, ultra-lightweight BB cream that gives skin a fresh, barely-there glow.

Morphe Lightform Extended Hydration Foundation, $35.

Perfect for those who want more coverage with a smooth finish, Leigh described this as "a really great price, more coverage, thinner texture, more velvety."

Sephora Best Skin Ever Glow 12HR Moisturising Liquid Foundation, $36.

"This is probably the closest I would say," Leigh admitted.

And FYI, it's actually been recently reformulated for an even dewier, more skin-like finish.

DB Cosmetics BB Cream, $22.95.

Another BB cream makes the Flower Beauty foundation replacement list.

Opt for this if you're after a glowy, hydrated finish that still feels like skin.

DB Cosmetics Radiant Glow Tinted Moisturiser, $22.95.

Or, if you're after a more radiant, everyday pick for sheer coverage and hydration, the Glow Tinted Moisturiser is a great option.

Either way, "Both [DB Cosmetics products] are really lightweight, both hydrating, both glowy."

Revlon Illuminance Tinted Serum, $40.

This is Leigh's pick for a near one-to-one dupe.

"Very, very similar. It's phenomenal."

Revlon Illuminance Skin Caring Foundation, $44.

If you love the Revlon serum (mentioned above) but want a touch more coverage, this one's for you.

It provides a satin finish that still lets your skin shine through.

YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint Glow Liquid Foundation, $110.

And finally, for those willing to splurge, this is your luxury-level glow. 

"Very beautiful, medium to lightweight, really gorgeous."
