The man 'found in Cheryl's bed' on Married At First Sight has come forward to end the rumours.

Cheryl Maitland has had to cop a lot from reality TV ex-husband Andrew Jones. Most recently she’s been forced to defend accusations she invited another man into their bed.

To set the record straight, the 25-year-old’s “gay best friend” Jordan Galleio has outed himself as the other man Andrew said he woke up in bed with during filming of Married At First Sight.

It backs up Cheryl’s explanation of the incident, which was exposed when a friend of Andrew’s told Woman’s Day the 38-year-old had been caught off guard by an unwelcome intruder.

Listen: Cheryl and Andrew finally put us all out of our misery. Post continues…

“Cheryl got home as the sun was coming up and climbed into bed with Andrew — and so did the guy she’d brought home with her,” the magazine quoted the friend as saying.

However, it was not the evidence of cheating or a desire for a threesome that the quote might have lead readers to believe.

Galleio, a Gold Coast hair stylist, explained that he and Cheryl had been fully-clothed in the bed during an interview with News Corp.

He said Cheryl, her friends and 'Jonesy' had been on a night out together before the reality TV star was kicked out by security guards for throwing also a cup of ice at one of Maitland’s friends.

"We all went out drinking and there was an issue that happened in the club. He was escorted out of the club by a bouncer. All I know is that he threw a cup of ice at Cheryl’s friend and she got him removed from the nightclub," Galleio alleged.

"He seemed like a nice guy but a few drinks later it kind of changed."

The 25-year-old told News Corp that he and Cheryl had arrived home after Andrew and climbed into bed with the sleeping man.

"It sounds strange, but it really wasn’t strange at all," Galleio said.

"I was fully clothed, Cheryl was fully clothed and he [Jonesy] had clothes on. He knew when he met me that I’m clearly not Cheryl’s lover.

"I’m clearly one of Cheryl’s very, very, very gay friends. I work with her sister. We’ve been friends for about six years."

Cheryl told News.com.au it was "funny" Andrew didn't seem to have a problem on the night, but has brought it up after he faced negative social media attention.

"It’s all blown up — to clear the air, I brought back (home) my gay best friend who Andrew knows,” Maitland told News.com.au.

"He had no problem with him. Andrew moved over to one side of the bed. I was in the middle and my friend was beside me. It’s all a stab at me to say I’m not who I am portrayed on TV. It’s just stupid little things."

"My friend was sleeping downstairs for all of the night and he came up at nine, 10 o’clock. He (Andrew) didn’t have a problem at that time. I find it funny how he does now. I would never just bring a guy into my bed — that’s just ridiculous."

This comes after Maitland and Jones both decided to leave the experiment during Sunday night’s episode.
