Comedian recreates celebrity Instagram posts. Becomes our new hero.

While you scroll through your Instagram feed, bombarded by flawless holiday snaps of flawless celebrities doing flawless yoga poses on the decks of their flawless yachts, it’s easy to feel a little… less than flawless.

But as Australian comedian Celeste Barber points out on her ingenious Instagram page, all is not as it seems.

“Some celebrities on Instagram seem to think we, non-rich, non-privileged people are idiots,” she told Buzzfeed Life, “and believe that what they are posting is real.”

Barber takes the most liked, and often most ridiculous Instagram photos from the world’s most famous people and recreates them.

“I wanted to try to show how ridiculous it would be for a ‘normal’ person to recreate some of these photos,” she told Buzzzfeed.

And ridiculous it is. Ridiculous… and brilliant.

“People are really supporting it,” she told The Daily Mail. “I didn’t really care for how it would be perceived, I just started it for my friends who I knew would love it. I continued it because people are telling me it is their daily laugh and they have started to challenge me.”
