When Imgur user SomewhereUnderTheWater posted a series of pictures of her body on the internet, she did not expect more than one million people to see the images in the days following.

But when you see what she posted, you’ll understand why so many women around the world have shared the pictures with their friends

And why? Because she dared to show what a stomach actually looks like.

Unlike the usual ‘perfect’ fitspo bodies that litter the internet – and show a before photo and nothing more – this image dared to be a little more normal.

SomewhereUnderTheWater wrote that it was an image she hoped would encourage others to also love their bodies

And judging by the comments, that’s exactly what she’s done.
