The very best looks from the BAFTA's red carpet.

The Oscars may be the most coveted acting awards in the world and attract Hollywood royalty, but the BAFTAs (British Academy of Film and Television Awards) have actually REAL life royalty in attendance.

(Sorry, Meryl.)

While that may mean slightly less side vag or nipples on the red carpet, last night’s ceremony didn’t disappoint on the fashion front.

Listen: We need to talk about side vag on the red carpet. Post continues after audio.

The Duchess of Cambridge rocked the summer’s hottest trend in an off-the-shoulder floral Alexander McQueen gown.

Returning to the design house that created her now iconic wedding dress, the tiered silk number sits bang on trendy and timeless.

This year was the first time Middleton and husband William had attended the event together, despite the fact he has served as BAFTA president since 2010. He presented BAFTA Fellowship - the lifetime achievement award - to actor Mel Brooks.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, Queen Meryl opted for a tailored tuxedo while Michelle Williams sparkled (literally) in a sequin mini dress.

Glittering like a disco ball proved to be a hugely popular trend, with Penelope Cruz, Emma Stone, Sophie Turner and Ava West also going for where-are-my-sunglasses levels of glitz. We love it.

Here are all our favourites from last night's red carpet.
