The US department of social security have released the official list of 2013’s baby names and… Well, you know where this is going – there are some interesting choices.

The top ten boys and girls names were pretty standard: Sophia, Emma, Olivia, Isabella, Ava, Mia, Emily, Abigail, Madison and Elizabeth for the girls, and Noah, Liam, Jacob, Mason, William, Ethan, Michael, Alexander, Jayden and Daniel for the boys.

But it’s when you get a bit further down the popularity list that things start to get interesting.

Here are the most notable US girls and boys names for 2013. We present this list without comment:
