Look, I'm not particularly hard to influence. Once I see multiple people recommending a product I'm generally sold.
However, when my TikTok feed was entirely flooded with girls in plain white singlets, I raised an eyebrow. They were absolutely raving about them.
The feeling, the fit, describing them as a tank that gives you a 'DIY boob job'.
Watch the hosts of Mamamia's Nothing To Wear on the death of the going out top. Post continues below.
The reviews were calling the tank 'the best they'd ever tried', praising the material for its inability to pill.
They also had said the tanks meant you don't even need to wear a bra (no matter your bust size…um, what?!) and offer support in all the right places both boob-wise and waist-wise.
But I was still sceptical. Guys, $60 for a singlet? Really? When I can get one for $10?
Eventually (okay, after a few more TikToks), I caved. With my other white tanks sufficiently stretched and stained from self tan, I hit up All For Mimi for my next pick.

The brand is owned by the much-loved Aussie influencer, Sophia Begg aka. Sophadopha, and reportedly sold 400 tanks a minute in their last restock.
I ordered the plain white in my normal size — I did see a lot of people recommending to size down, but I was nervous so I stuck with what I knew — and breathed an apprehensive sigh as I hit purchase.
As soon as it arrived and I tried it on for the first time, I knew. I knew it was as good as everyone had been saying.

Trust me when I say, buttery soft. The kind of fabric that isn't able to pill so you know it's going to stay looking expensive. It's also thick enough that you don't really need to wear a bra which is something I search for in most tops given my hatred for underwire.
On my first day trying it out, I had a fresh fake tan. I know how that sounds, but I was excited, okay? It stayed looking and smelling absolutely pristine throughout the day, which unfortunately my other tanks can't hold a candle to.
As for the 'boob job' effect? Well, I can confirm. The top is just tight enough to provide the support in all areas you need it and compress the other bits that you might want to avoid eyes on.
I love it so much that I've already worn it on a night out and then to the office the following week. Because what is a plain tank if not versatile and completely worn to death?!

I've been inundated with compliments every time I wear it, with friends and colleagues gathering to feel the soft fabric and ask 'is it worth the hype?'
If it wasn't clear yet. Yes, yes it is. Plus, it's available in a wide range of colours, as well as sizes from 2XS to 4XL.
Sopha, if you're reading this, you've absolutely killed it queen. The girlies know a good tank is not easy to find, so a small part of me feels like I've found gold.
Best white singlets for women.
If I've convinced you (and if I haven't, c'mon, get one) you can shop the All For Mimi tank below. I know I'll be adding all of the other colours to cart.
