Lee Elliott proudly defends Georgia Love against critics of her body.

As they spend more and more time in the Melbourne social scene and cement themselves as one of the most recognisable couples in our country, Georgia Love and Lee Elliott appear to also consistently have each other’s backs as they adjust to their newfound public profiles.

This was no more apparent on Saturday as the duo attended Victoria’s Portsea Polo firmly by each other’s side.

In an interview with the Herald Sun, Elliot said he had no time for those who called Love’s legs “thunder thighs” back in December.

“Her legs are amazing. I love your thunder thighs (Georgia).’’

Love herself was happy to agree.

“I don’t care if I they say I have got fat thighs, I think I have got good legs,’’ she said.

“I am not someone who is affected by comments on articles. I am a strong person and I am not going to let a troll behind a keyboard affect me.

“But I know that other people do get affected by these things and I am the kind of person who needs to be calling them out.’’

In December, Love posted a passionate response to body shamers on her Instagram account after she stumbled upon numerous comments written about her labelling her legs “thunder thighs”.

“No wonder negative body image and mental health issues are becoming more and more prevalent in our society, the internet can be a disgusting place. [The Daily Mail] posted an article about me exercising (not sitting on the couch gorging on a burger. Exercising) and every single comment is body shaming me,” she wrote on Instagram about the shamers.

“One even suggests I’m so unattractive my boyfriend simply must be cheating on me! This is not a “woe is me” post, this is to highlight just a snippet of what these trolls do and shame them right back. Girls (and guys), if anyone tells you you’re not good enough, not pretty enough, not skinny enough; they’re wrong.

“No I’m not a size 6 and I will never apologise for that. I am a happy, fit, active, NORMAL person and that is all any of us should strive to be. #hatersgonnahate #rantover.”

The former Bachelorette then took a second shot at the bullies who taunted her with a clever post just days later on Instagram, writing “Checking in my thunder thighs for the flight,” alongside an image at the airport.
