Domestic violence through the eyes of a year 10 student.

More than half a million Australian women have reported domestic abuse in the past 12 months, but many more go unreported.

It remains the most common cause of serious injuries to women and, at present, kills as many as two women a week.

Zoe Dyer, a Year 10 student from St. Paul’s school in Brisbane, explored the issue as part of a school unit on Safe Choices.

The result is this incredibly powerful and thought-provoking video, which she hopes will bring further attention to the issues and maybe even give a voice to victims who are yet to find their own.

It has a simple message: Know your boundaries. Know yourself. You are precious. You are loved.

You can find the original video on the St. Paul’s Facebook page.
