Winter is here, and I am getting ready to make a little extra time for myself.

I always switch up my beauty routine in winter, opting for products that pack a punch in hydration. However, switching things up in winter can be expensive. Priceline Pharmacy has always been my go-to for all things beauty — it's affordable, with amazing sales and I always enjoy the little bonus gifts they have for their Sister Club members.

So, without further ado, let’s get ready for winter comfort!

Sweet Little Things Cable Knit Heat Pack, $17.99

Heat packs are an absolute winter must. Whether it’s that time of the month, you want to warm the bed up before you climb in, you’ve gone too hard at the gym or you just want a warm hug while watching a movie. It’s a quick and easy way to get some warmth and comfort. The cable knit design is so cute too, so when you accidentally leave it out on the couch, it’ll look like it was left there on purpose!

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, $15.90

Having a hyaluronic acid in your routine over winter is the secret to keeping your skin plump and hydrated. The Ordinary’s one is affordable and has been newly improved, helping to repair your skin barrier as well. If you have oilier skin, it’s also lightweight so it won’t feel heavy on the skin.

Natio Wellness Body Scrub, $22.95

I get the DRIEST skin through winter, and one of the easiest ways to treat myself and combat this is by using a body scrub. I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I don’t scrub as often as I should. However, whenever I do, I am always shocked at how smooth my skin is left feeling. The Natio scrub is so beautiful because it buffs away all that dryness while leaving your skin soft and glowy.

CeraVe SA Renewing Foot Cream, $15.99

The easiest way to treat yourself in winter? Don’t neglect your feet.

CeraVe makes it easy as well. It is thick and hydrating, soaking in quickly to rehydrate and soften your feet. I always like to pop it on before bed and let it work its magic overnight.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Mains Hand Barrier Cream, $19.95

This and the next selection are linked together because doing them both will make your hands thank you for it! I always get super dry hands in winter (have we worked out that I’m just a super dry skin girlie…?). I have a tube of this hand cream everywhere — the car, my handbag and my desk. It’s thick and hydrating but doesn’t leave your hands feeling greasy.

Sally Hansen Vitamin E Moisturising Nail and Cuticle Oil, $17.95

Image: Priceline Pharmacy.

Every night before bed, I lather my nails with cuticle oil and then lock it in with hand cream, giving myself a little hand massage as I go. By doing this regularly, I notice that my hands stay nourished for longer and I get way fewer of those pesky hangnails (that seem to come out in droves during winter). It’s simple, but it feels luxurious.

Everyday by Frank Body Hydrating Body Wash, $13.99

Okay, this is for the time-poor out there.

We don’t all have time to do a big, luxurious pamper. If that’s you, buy a nice body wash. This is my pick. It smells fresh and is, oh, so hydrating.

Aveeno Skin Relief Intense Moisture Repair Body Cream, $23.99

Following on from the body wash, using a nice body cream is another quick way to practice self-care. If you don’t have a good body cream, you definitely need one in winter. The Aveeno body cream is thick and nourishing, helps calm any irritations and leaves you feeling soft all over.

Ego QV Bath Oil, $21.99

Image: Priceline Pharmacy.

Baths are a MUST for me in winter. There's nothing better on a cold day than hopping in, popping on a face mask (don’t worry, there’s a recommendation coming!) and soaking away my worries. The Ego QV bath oil is beautiful because it’s going to rehydrate your skin while you soak.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Mask B5, $14.95

And here is the face mask recommendation. I couldn’t not include the La Roche-Posay mask in my list. It’s affordable and my absolute favourite sheet mask ever. Whether I want to treat myself, my skin is a bit angry or I’m prepping for an event, this is the answer. It hydrates quickly, targets any irritation in the skin and leaves you glowing!

Sukin Natural Actives Overnight Reset Oil, $34.99

Can’t afford or don’t have time for a facial? Finish your routine with an oil and a little face massage. Having an oil in winter will help lock in moisture and reduce any flakiness. I also like the Sukin one because it contains antioxidants to help reduce signs of ageing.

No7 HydraLuminous Water Surge Gel Cream, $29.99

If you have oilier skin or don’t like the feeling of oils, you can use a gel cream instead. They are lighter weight but still help to keep the skin plump and juicy. To add that extra level of self-care, use your fingers or a gua sha to finish your routine with a massage.

Lanolips 101 Ointment, $18.99

This is another recommendation for time poor self-care. Self-care could be as simple as putting on a nice lip balm to protect your lips from the cold winter wind. Or massaging some of the Lanolips into your nose when you have the flu and have blown your nose a few too many times.

This is the wonder ointment because it’s so multipurpose — use it on your lips, nose, feet or hands.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Repair & Protect Daily Treatment, $7.99

I find myself neglecting my haircare all the time. It just seems like a lot of effort to put a hair mask in, let it do its thing, and then rinse it out.

This is where the Pantene 3 Minute Repair comes in. Quick and easy — I pop it in while shaving and then rinse it out. It leaves my hair sooo silky soft, like I’ve just visited the salon.
