What wonderful news.

Hot potato indeed, Lachlan “Lachy” Gillespie and Emma Watkins – the purple and yellow Wiggles – are officially engaged.

Lachy proposed to Emma over the weekend on Sydney’s beautiful Harbour. After a delighted “yes!” from Emma, Lachy took her out to dinner where, unbeknownst to Emma, both their families were waiting.

What a romantic.

The loved up duo hid their romance for two years before announcing that they were dating in March of this year. The pair shared their beautiful news with fans on Facebook  this morning. It read:

"We have some wonderful news for you all. There is a Wiggly Wedding on the horizon! Lachy proposed to Emma and she said YES! Lachy told us, “It was the happiest day of my life!”. Both Anthony and Simon are thrilled for Emma and Lachy as are the entire Wiggly team. Congratulations and best wishes to them both during this exciting time!"
