The Bachelorette's Chad now understands why people hate him.

It looks like I have competition for the position of president of The Bachelorette‘s Chad Johnson’s fan club.

You’re probably asking yourself, who could possibly enjoy watching that peacock his way into the cultural zeitgeist more than me?

Who could love that perfectly imperfect beard-wearing, psychotic tune-whistling, cold cut and raw sweet-potato eater more than someone who recaps The Bachelorette every week?

The answer is there’s only one person in the world who could be a bigger Chad Johnson fan than me.

Chad Johnson.

Watch the trailer for the US Bachelorette. Post continues after video.

“So I finally watched the show at my sisters.. Holy tits now I understand why some people hate me!” Chad, in accompaniment to an Instagram video, posted Tuesday night. “Haha but some parts were hilarious too. LOL”

In the video, shot by his sister Tiffany Johnson, Chad casually lounges on a couch, watching himself, and laughing at his own attempts to “help” JoJo by giving her a break from all the “immature” guys trying to woo her—as if they are on some kind of reality show where the point is to woo her. Such a selfless guy.

Interestingly, this little viewing party came just two days after Chad wrote on Twitter that he was not watching the show. Referring to last episode’s coo-coo bananas cliffhanger, which showed a recently eliminated Chad whistling his way back to the house to either murder or smirk at Alex, Chad wrote, “I don’t watch the shows, so did they show whether I killed someone yet? Or am I still waiting to find out LoL.”

I for one am grateful that the lure of watching himself on TV proved too much for Chad. Game five of the NBA Finals meant there was no new episode of The Bachelorette this week. And while I’m a big basketball fan, and appreciate the game of Steph Curry and Lebron James as much as the next person, there is really no one better at “the game” than Chad Johnson.
