Placenta art is now a thing.

Placentas are finally getting the respect they deserve. These life-sustaining organs are no longer being chucked in the bin thoughtlessly. They are being used for lots of different things.

Some mothers are choosing to keep their babies attached to them long after birth, which is called a Lotus Birth. Others are eating them, dehydrating them into tablets or blending them into smoothies. And now, placentas are being created into amazing works of art.

You can create placentas into photo frames used to hold a picture of our child, or you can make any number of other creations such as prints, t-shirts and even necklaces.
