We recently bought a trampoline. It’s enormous fun. Naturally, being concerned for my children’s safety, we got one of those spring-free ones with the nets around them. Watching my kids bounce around with their friends, I was reminded of all the time I spent as a kid on other people’s trampolines. They didn’t have nets. And they DID have springs. Sometimes, we put the hose on them so they’d be extra slippery.
I don’t recall any of my friends ever breaking limbs, did we?
Isn’t it funny how something as basic as jumping on a trampoline has changed so much in less than a generation?
