'What should I wear today?' Your guide to the weather around the country.

Happy hump day.

We’re halfway through the week. Halfway through the weather forecast.

Time flies when you’re having fun, right? Here’s more fun, and more weather, complete with everything you need to get ready for work today:

Adelaide

You can expect a mostly sunny day, Adelaide, with a top temperature of 28 degrees. There’s no chance of rain to dampen your parade, but the wind may pick up towards the late afternoon.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • A light cardigan to keep warm when the temperature drops come sundown
  • Wear your hair in a pony tail or messy bun today – who wants to mess up a hairstyle with wind?

Brisbane

You’re headed for a top of 25 degrees today, but your skies will be covered in clouds. Sorry, Brissy friends.

There’s also a 50 per cent chance of rain in the late morning and afternoon, so we suggest packing your own lunch so you don’t have to venture out in the rain for food on your lunch break.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • A pair of high-waisted trousers perfect for ‘not too hot, not too cold’ weather
  • Pack an umbrella to stay dry when that rain begins to fall

Canberra

Are you feeling a case of ‘every day is the same’, Canberra? That’s because, just like yesterday, you can expect a top temp of 21 degrees and partly cloudy skies.

There’s a very low chance of rain, too, so take that small victory and run with it.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • A pair of fun flats to give your hump day outfit a bit of pizzazz
  • Pair with a jacket with a floral or sequinned design

Darwin

It’s going to be humid, today, Darwin, with temperatures reaching around 33 degrees and a 40 per cent chance of rain that could develop into a thunderstorm.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • An umbrella for when the rain inevitably begins to fall
  • A cute, printed dress to get you through a humid day

Hobart

It’s a little warmer for you today, Hobart, with the city reaching a top of 22 degrees.

Skies will be partly cloudy and you may experience a bit of patchy fog that should disappear thanks to some light winds. Oh, and no rain. Hooray!

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • A  denim jacket.
  • Channel your inner Britney with a pair of denim jeans. Double denim on a Wednesday? Who says you can’t?

Melbourne

Melbourne, get ready for a mostly sunny day and a top of 25 degrees.

While there’s no chance of rain, the city may be covered in a little bit of smoke haze this morning, so breathe easy.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • Black, high-waisted jeans and a pair of bejewelled flats
  • Today is the day for lots of accessories, we can feel it

Perth

Oh, you want more sun? Really?

Lucky for you, Perth, your Wednesday is sunny, with no chance of rain and a top temperature of a perfect 30 degrees. Just don’t forget to slip, slop and slap.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • Sunnies, because your future (and your day) is looking BRIGHT
  • Today is the day to wear that dress you bought three weeks ago but haven’t worn yet

Sydney

Just like yesterday, Sydney, your max temp is 23 degrees today. There will also be a “shower or two” throughout the day…which we all know is code for “it will rain on and off all day and make you feel just a little bit miserable”.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • Pack your most fun umbrella. You need it, and a bit of colour to make you smile
  • Boots. No one likes getting to work with wet feet and wet socks
