'What should I wear today?' Your guide to the weather around the country.

Tuesday is here, everyone.

Four more working days and the weekend is here (yes, we know, it’s probably too early to start counting down but just try and stop us).

What can brighten up your day better than a wardrobe guide and a weather forecast?

Nothing. So sit back, relax, and enjoy. We’ve done the hard part for you.

Adelaide

Tuesday brings you a mostly sunny day, with a top of 25 degrees, Adelaide. There will also be a southwest afternoon sea breeze, perfect for grabbing an ice cream to celebrate the end of another hard day at work (just make sure this doesn’t happen).

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • A cute cardigan in case things get chilly on your commute home
  • Sparkly sandals, because why not?
  • Maxi skirt for staying cool and fun

Brisbane

Brisvegas, it will be a (mostly) sunny day for you – the city will reach a top of 26 degrees, but there’ll be a bit of cloud about and a 30 per cent chance of rain.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • T-shirt and a pair of fancy high-waisted shorts
  • Sunglasses – those UV rays are ‘very high’ today, so add some sunscreen too
  • Pack an umbrella to stay dry when that rain begins to fall

Canberra

We’ll be honest, today isn’t shaping up to be the best day. But it’s not the worst day either, so there’s that.

Canberra will experience a high of 20 degrees with partly cloudy skies with winds picking up in the early afternoon.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • Jeans and a fancy blouse
  • A swanky jacket to spruce things up (yeah, we said ‘swanky’ and ‘spruce’ in the same sentence)

Darwin

A high of 32 degrees…. but it’s not all great, Darwin. You’re waking up to a 40 per cent chance of rain, possibly a thunderstorm.

Stay dry, out there.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • Umbrellas. All the umbrellas
  • Gumboots for that inevitably wet trip to the grocery store after work
  • A cute dress to remind yourself that no amount of rain can ruin your day

Hobart

It’s going to be a cool 19 degrees today. BUT, there’s no chance of rain. HOORAY.

Also, you’ll wake up to a bit of fog so just think about all those awesome Instagram snaps waiting to happen.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • A leather or denim jacket. Because you’re too cool for school
  • A fun hat to make your inevitable fog Insta shot stand out in everyone’s feed

Melbourne

Just like Hobart, the outer suburbs of Melbourne will awaken to some light fog. Temperatures in the city will reach a top of 23 degrees, with the sun making an appearance throughout the day.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • A bright coloured blazer on your way to work
  • Keep things casual with a pair of funky sneakers

Perth

Way to be perfect, Perth. A top of 31 degrees, lots of sun and zero per cent chance of rain? This calls for a party.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • Sunnies, because your future (and your day) is looking BRIGHT
  • A pair of printed shorts to celebrate the fact that it’s April and summer is still hanging around
  • Bejewelled sandals

Sydney

Sorry, Sydney. Things…well things just aren’t looking fine and dandy this Tuesday.

You’re being hit with showers all day, a top of 23 degrees and a chance of a thunderstorm along the coast this morning.

Fail-safe outfit options:

  • 746 umbrellas, because #rain
  • Jeans, because #rain
  • A giant blanket to wrap yourself in as you tell yourself that it will all be okay and sun will be back soon
