Alright, A-listers. Let’s talk undies.

We’ve seen some pretty spectacular dresses at the Oscars today. Jennifer Aniston showing some leg in a sheer strapless gown. Scarlett Johansson with curves more curvy than a particularly sexy hourglass.

But not a visible panty-line in sight. Well done, stylists.

We can’t help but wonder what was going on underneath the fabric of the miraculous dresses. Tape? Garters? Corsets? Nothing?

Nope. Apparently, the complete lack of VPL is thanks to a fancy new line of underwear called Commando.

“It is the basis for all of the looks we create,” says Karla Welch, an LA-based stylist who gets to play life-sized Barbie dress-ups with actresses like Olivia Wilde and Amy Poehler. “It’s simple, smart and it’s this little secret that’s available to everyone. It’s rocket science for underwear.”

WHAT IS IT?

It’s a really light, elastic-free, undergarment. It’s stretchy nylon fabric interlaced with lycra. And it’s the greatest underwear since sliced bread (well… sliced bread is not great underwear… but you know what we mean), apparently.

The ‘invisible underwear’ was created by Kerry O-Brien, and she started by selling it door-to-door in her neighbourhood. It’s now a staple for all stylists, and is selling out in stores across America.
