Meanwhile, stars have already announced who they are packing to be picked for the top prize.

Talking to the Herald Sun, co-host of The Project and Gold Logie winner, Carrie Bickmore is hopeful her colleague, Peter Helliar will be nominated.

“It’s hard to believe Pete has never been nominated for the Gold Logie. I’ve worked alongside Pete for over 10 years and he is an absolute legend. He is funny, generous, smart and has incredible timing. He would make a great Gold Logie winner,” she said.

“I feel sorry for whoever has to follow Waleed’s speech from last year but you know what, if anyone could do it Pete’s your guy. It would be funny and very memorable I am sure.”

Radio host, Rove McManus, has also backed Helliar but he would be up against some fierce competition.

Many are thinking Today co-host Lisa Wilkinson will be nominated, along with Jessica Marais, and Marta Dusseldorp.
