23-year-old star of 16 and Pregnant Valerie Fairman found dead in a friend's bathroom.

Former 16 and Pregnant star Valerie Fairman has died from what is believed to have been a drug overdose on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old was discovered in a friend’s bathroom in Coatesville, Pennsylvania in a non-responsive state when an ambulance was first called, but just minutes later, she was declared dead.

Fairman leaves behind her boyfriend, Russ Bosi, and six-year-old daughter, Nevaeh.

Alongside her then boyfriend, Matt, Fairman starred in the 2010 series of MTV's teen pregnancy show, which tracked her journey from the early stages of her pregnancy to the first months of becoming a parent.

Following her death, MTV released a statement that read, "We are saddened by the news of Valerie Fairman's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time."

Social media tributes have also begun flooding in from family, friends and former co-stars.

Fairman's sister wrote on Instagram, "My baby sister, my heart, my blood! Valerie you will forever be missed. I love you baby girl and I will always."

Former 16 and Pregnant star Chelsea DeBoer (nee Houska) tweeted, "How incredibly sad. My heart goes out to her daughter and family."

DeBoer also shared the news with fellow co-star Jenelle Evans, who tweeted, "Oh my god. I just spoke to her a couple months ago and told her I'm proud of her and looks like she's doing good. Don't take life for granted, Hold your children and love them close."

Bosi has also posted a number of images of himself with Fairman, as well as a black-and-white image showing a tattoo of his girlfriend's name covering the left side of his torso.

A man claiming to be both Fairman's ex-boyfriend and the uncle of Fairman's ex-partner Matt, David Pryce, wrote on Facebook, "I will always miss you Valerie and I am want to tell anyone who is selling s**t to people to stop. We have lost too many loved ones to what you are doing and I am going to start taking care of it."

Fairman was known to have been struggling with substance abuse for a number of years, allegedly attending rehabilitation at least one. She also had a number of encounters with police, being arrested for assault, resisting arrest, providing false identification and prostitution.
