Tyra Banks, 42, has become a mother for the first time.

Tyra Banks is a MUM!

The professional smizer, 42, and her Norwegian boyfriend Erik Asla, 50, have welcomed a baby boy via surrogate.

His name is York Banks Asla, and despite not physically giving birth to the baby, Banks is clearly filled with baby-love hormones.

Banks has spoken about her struggle with infertility before. In September last year, she told People she’d had a “traumatic” time with IVF.

“It’s been really difficult. I’ve had some not-so-happy, traumatic moments.”

She added that she and Asla would like “a litter” of children.

“I don’t just want one child. I’d love a litter! Maybe they’ll be running the family business. I do want a legacy,” she said.

She said each year since she was 24, she’d planned to have children “in three years”, but that work got in the way.

“Then, when you’re like, ‘I’m just going to do it,’ it’s not so easy.”

Asla is a photographer whose work has featured in many high fashion bibles such as Elle, Allure and Marie Claire.

He and Banks have been seeing each other for about two years.

According to his agency, Asla has three daughters from a previous relationship.

Congrats, new parents!
