It's confirmed: The Bachelor's Tiffany and Megan have broken up.

The two women met as contestants on The Bachelor last year. They made public their relationship through Instagram shortly after the show aired.

Now, Megan Marx has confirmed her split from now-ex-girlfriend Tiffany Scanlon.

“Tiffany and I have broken up,” the 27-year-old responded to an Instagram comment earlier today. However, it appears the comment has since been deleted.

Marx and Scanlon, 30, moved to Bali at the start of this year to launch a business together.

Scanlon’s unexpected decision to return to her hometown of Perth a week ago sparked speculation among fans that the couple had parted ways.

“Creature comforts,” Scanlon posted to Instagram alongside a photo of her and her dogs. The hashtags #backhome and #lostinlife were particularly telling.

Shortly following this, Marx announced her plans to travel to Europe.

The couple lived out their relationship publicly, frequently sharing bites of their life through social media and speaking openly about their experience as a lesbian couple.

The publicity must make this breakup extra difficult. Fans are watching as the much-loved couple separate, and there will be questions and comments and opinions around what it was that caused the split.

We’re thinking of both Megan and Tiffany at this time.
