After 25 years as a brunette, The Young Mummy has made a big hair change.

Carrie Bickmore‘s isn’t the only big hair transformation to emerge this week. The latest one is happening smack bang on The Young Mummy‘s head.

Yep, popular blogger Sophie Cachia is ditching her dark brunette hair for something she says her hubby Jaryd will love…

RED, people. She’s going FREAKIN’ RED! (And it looks bloomin’ fantastic.)

The soon to be mum-of-two announced the change to her 136,000 Instagram followers on Wednesday night, adding that she’s halfway through what will be an epic two-step transformation.

“My hubby has a serious thing for redheads,” Sophie captioned the photo of her new fiery tips.

“Started subtly today – half way there! See you again in 2 weeks@daisyfieldshair.”

For now, the 25-year-old’s change is subtle, hinting the final look will be jaw-dropping in two weeks’ time.

Good lordy lord, given the excitement of Carrie Bickmore’s change from blonde to deep brown, we can hardly wait. (I’m positive Jaryd’s in the same boat.)

This isn’t the only big change for Sophie. This week she also announced she’s halfway through her second pregnancy and is due to pop out a little brother or sister for their son Bobby, two, in January.

While the Cachias have chosen to keep their baby’s sex a surprise this time ’round, the blogger has told her followers, “I think it’s a boy”.
