Holy s**t. We've made it.

It's time for the final group date.

Instead of another unnecessary physical activity (we've had enough ball games for one season), the contestants are gathering for a painting session.

Watch The Bachelorette 2021 trailer below. Post continues after video.

As Brooke sits nude with a blanket draped over her, the contestants sit quietly as they each paint portraits of Brooke.

For a little while, the room is almost lulled into complete silence as the contestants compete to create the best painting.

Until... Timm 2.0 has a very important question.

"Does anyone know how to make the colour grey?" he asks the group.

"It's kind of confusing me. I need the basic Art 101 lesson where they say, 'This is green. This is red. Green and red make... yellow.'"

Oh, sweetie. You tried.

Later on, the contestants get a chance to present their paintings to Brooke.

But to be honest, if the paintings don't look like this masterpiece, then we don't want to see them:

Holly is the first contestant to present her painting to Brooke.

As she describes the meaning behind the painting, Holly tells Brooke that she makes her feel "really safe", while the other contestants awkwardly... watch on.

This is... awkward. Image: Channel 10.

After watching Darvid, Millie, Jamie-Lee and Timm 2.0 share their paintings, Konrad is the last contestant to meet with Brooke.

And yes, he has brought his absolute A-game.

As Konrad shares the intricate meaning behind his painting, Brooke becomes teary.

"Oh my god, you're melting me. I think it's so beautiful," Brooke tells him.

"It shows that you're really paying attention and you're noticing the little things. I always feel very grateful to be around you."

Meanwhile, the other contestants are still casually... watching them.

"It's tough to hear," Darvid says.

"It's gonna be five of us getting our hearts broken, I think."

UGH THIS IS SO HARD TO WATCH.

Later that night, Brooke and Konrad get even more alone time together.

It's getting down to business, and Brooke asks Konrad what their relationship would look like on the outside.

Konrad shares that he left his job in carpentry before entering the mansion. But... he hasn't exactly got a plan in place for what his life will look like post The Bachelorette.

"I don't think chasing materialistic things will give me fulfillment and happiness. Realistically, after this, if we were together, my main goal is to find fulfillment," Konrad tells Brooke.

"Doing... what?" Brooke asks.

After a lengthy, awkward silence, Konrad finally responds: "I don't know, but making other people happy makes me happy, so if I can use that to generate income... I think I can find fulfillment that way."

Ooft. Image: Channel 10. Oh. This is not going well.

"He is very free-spirited, and I've always loved that about him," Brooke tells the producers.

"But my brain is like, 'What does he do for a job?' It all feels very airy fairy, and I'm a person who needs a little bit more stability."

Oh s**t.

Konrad is definitely going to get his heart broken.

WE WEREN'T EMOTIONALLY PREPARED FOR THIS.

It's the next day and Brooke is going on her second single date with frontrunner Darvid.

After making wine together, Brooke opens up and tells Darvid that she always emotionally prepares herself for the day that the person she is dating will tell her that they don't love her enough.

"I don't think you should worry about that," Darvid tells her.

"I've felt something really special with you from the beginning. I'm all in, and I don't say that lightly, I don't think I've ever said that to anyone."

Oooooooh.

FINALLY. Image: Channel 10. It's time for the cocktail party.

After arriving hand-in-hand with Darvid following their single date, Brooke escorts Konrad over to *the chair* for a chat.

After their previous chat, Brooke is feeling a lil bit concerned about what their future might look like together.

"I know you're in a bit of a limbo at the moment. Where does that go long term?" Brooke asks him.

"I don't know what I'm gonna do after this," Konrad admits.

"But I'm super confident and I'm super ambitious and I think I'm gonna be super successful."

Ugh. That felt like the wrong thing to say...

Listen to Mamamia's daily entertainment podcast, The Spill, below. Post continues after podcast.

It's time for the rose ceremony.

Darvid gets a rose. Holly gets a rose. Jamie-Lee gets a rose. And... Konrad gets a rose.

Millie and Timm 2.0 are sent packing.

But wait. I know what you're thinking.

"WHAT ABOUT HOMETOWNS???"

Well, friends. Settle in. It's a double episode.

First up, Brooke is meeting Konrad's parents... virtually.

After Konrad leaves the room, Konrad's dad tells Brooke that Konrad's heart was broken in his last relationship.

"He put so much into that previous relationship. And I felt so sorry for him," he says, tearfully.

"I love him to death. I would do anything for my son. I really would."

Ugh. This is too wholesome.

Afterwards, Konrad admits that he's falling in love with Brooke.

But despite the successful hometown visit, Brooke still has significant... doubts.

"It does feel a little bit risky with him," she tells producers.

"A lot is weighing heavily on my heart, and the pressure is kind of getting to me."

Next up, Brooke meets some of Jamie-Lee's closest friends. And yes, they've prepared for a grilling.

"We can see our friend falling." Image: Channel 10.

"If you're not serious about this, it's not going to be easy," Jamie-Lee's friend, Dee, tells Brooke.

"We can see our friend falling [for you]. And we want to know. Do you see yourself falling too?"

"If we were in the outside world, I think we would have a really beautiful relationship," Brooke replies.

"Now we're at this beautiful level, and I want to see where it goes."

Far out. How the heck is Brooke going to choose?

After meeting Jamie-Lee's friends, Brooke meets Darvid's family virtually.

From the get go, Darvid's mum has her... concerns.

While Darvid lives near his family in Queensland, Brooke is based in Victoria.

"With you both being interstate, how will that work?" she asks.

"That's a good question," Brooke responds.

"We haven't got to that stage of that discussion just yet. I would love to stay in Melbourne for the rest of the year, but I am really supportive of Darvid's life in Brissy... and I am really open [to moving]."

Finally, Brooke meets Holly's family.

Once again, distance is the main soft spot for Holly's family.

But wait... there's more.

While chatting one-on-one, Holly's mum asks Brooke if she wants kids.

"Children are definitely on the cards for me. I want two biological children, and then maybe adopt or foster [more]," Brooke says.

"I guess that's concerning because I do know that Holly always voiced that she would ideally have no children or maybe one," Holly's mum replies.

Later that night, it becomes clear that both Brooke and Holly have learned some very new things about each other during hometowns.

While Brooke didn't know that Holly wanted either a small family or no children altogether, Holly didn't know that Brooke had dreams of moving back to Western Australia in the future to be closer to her family.

"I feel very conflicted right now," Brooke tells producers.

"Maybe this is a problem." Image: Channel 10. "I didn't think we had any flags or concerns that we hadn't discussed already. I thought that Holly would be wanting children and wanting a family

"I feel like we might be on separate pages here. I've never had questions or doubts with Holly. But maybe this is a problem... I didn't see it coming."

Oh s**t. We certainly didn't see this coming.

After the four hometown visits, it's time for the rose ceremony.

Darvid gets a rose.

Jamie-Lee gets a rose.

And Holly gets a rose.

NOOOOOO. Image: Channel 10.

NO.

NOT KONRAD.

NOT SWEET, PURE KONRAD.

WE WILL NEVER EMOTIONALLY RECOVER FROM THIS.

After saying his goodbyes, Brooke walks Konrad to the car.

"This is about you finding the right person, so there are no hard feelings," Konrad tells her.

"I really, really hope that it works out for you."

HOW IS HE SO SWEET EVEN AFTER HAVING HIS HEART BROKEN INTO A MILLION PIECES???

"I don't know what to think right now," Konrad tells producers in the car.

"I was really falling in love with the girl. I suppose she's done the right thing by me, not letting it go any further.

"It just makes me not want to put myself out there anymore."

Ugh. This is too much. Konrad for The Bachelor, anyone?

UNTIL NEXT WEEK.
