Well played, T.Swift.

In one of our favourite celebrity rumours so far this year, a “source” told media last week that Taylor Swift was forced into insuring her legs for $40 million.

The story was that Taylor just HAD to do it because her awkward dancing is so important that tripping on stage would ultimately ruin her career. She was EMBARRASSED at just how much they were worth, the story went.

As far as celebrity rumours go, this one was up there with the most wonderfully ridiculous.

But sadly, Swift has denied the hilarious claim — and the way she announced her response will go down in our books as ‘Best Celebrity Response to a Tabloid Story Ever’.

One of Swift’s cats scratched her leg, which allowed the 25-year-old to react like this:

She captioned the photo: “GREAT WORK, MEREDITH. I WAS JUST TRYING TO LOVE YOU AND NOW YOU OWE ME 40 MILLION DOLLARS.”

And then, after she treated the wound with a special bandage obviously paid for by her insurance claim, she let us all know that her legs are going to be fine.

There’s nothing else to say but this: Well played, T.Swift. Well played indeed.
