I’m a firm believer in the power of costume jewellery.
It’s a great way to get a little retail pick me up without breaking the bank, can instantly revitalise your wardrobe and well, everything looks better with a little bling.
And no-one need know you only paid $7 for that interesting looking ring… well, until you take it off and your finger is a delightful shade of green.
Fortunately there’s a trick to prevent that happening – and all you’ll need is some clear nail polish.
Simply paint a small amount on the inside of the ring’s band, then leave to dry.

Simple as that. Image: supplied.
Once you can touch it without any of the polish coming off, it's good to go.
The trick should last a few wears so if you notice that green stain appearing again, just repeat the process.
Now no-one need know that fancy-looking ring cost less than $10.
Cheers, big ears.
Cheap earrings hurting your ears? Yep, you guessed it - there's a hack for that.
Simply rub a tiny bit of vaseline (or coconut oil if you prefer) to the piercing part, before popping in your ears.

It acts as a protector to stop the metal from irritating your skin.
Now go forth and bling up.
