A man has pleaded guilty to helping his twin brother cover up the murder of Stephanie Scott.

 

Marcus Stanford has plead guilty to being an accessory in the murder of NSW school teacher Stephanie Scott who disappeared from the small town of Leeton on Easter Sunday last year.

He was accused of aiding his brother dispose of Ms Scott’s belongings after her death.

His twin brother Vincent will appear in court later today charged with her murder, Nine News reports.

Ms Scott vanished four days before she planned to marry her high school sweetheart and her body was found burned Cocoparra National Park, a day before her intended nuptials.

The 26-year-old had been out buying wedding supplies on the morning she went missing.

Vincent Stanford, 25, was the cleaner at the school where she worked as an English and drama teacher, it is alleged police found pictures of her burned body on his phone as well blood inside his Toyota ute.

Ms Scott’s mother, father, sister and fiance, Aaron Leeson-Woolley, were in Griffith Local Court today to hear Marcus’ plea via video link.
