Here's 13 pieces to inject the Logies metallic look into your everyday wardrobe.

Aside from Tom Gleeson’s controversial win last night, there’s one memorable aspect we just can’t shake from the 2019 Logie Awards; the sea of glorious metallic gowns on the red carpet.

The Gold Coast ceremony was everything we had hoped for and more when it came to red carpet fashion, but while full skirts, tulle, lace and feathers made a notable appearance, it’s the metallic looks we’re still obsessing over.

Speaking of Tom Gleeson, watch his Gold Logie acceptance speech below. Post continues after.

Making a striking entrance to the 61st TV Week Logie Awards, a handful of guests opted to emulate an actual Logie for the night, shimmying their way to The Star’s entrance like chic astronauts.

Or in Sophie Monk’s case, a level of extra we can only dream of:

Kate Peck, Ada Nicodemou, Kelly Rowland, Brooke Boney and Sonia Kruger absolutely nailed the bold look, too:

But while we wish we had an event on our social calendars that would warrant an outfit as glamorous as these, we’ve instead spent the day trawling our favourite online stores in search of pared-back options we can… sit down comfortably in at work.

And boy are our shipping bags full.

Here are our tips for injecting the trend into your everyday wardrobe.

Midi skirt

Paired with boots, sneakers, heeled sandals, a t-shirt, slinky blouse or knit, a midi skirt is a season-round staple you can whip out any day of the week. It’s safe to say we’re pretty obsessed with this silhouette.

The options below both combine the metallic trend and the flattering skirt shape. We would like them all, please.

Shiny shoes

Whether it's a loafer, ballet flat or Chelsea boot, a hint of metal on your feet will instantly jazz up any outfit. As huge fans of all black everything in winter, a pair of shiny gold boots is just what we need right about now. Call it an investment.

For a little extra texture while attempting the metal-trend, look for sequinned skirts, dresses and blouses. This Target skirt in particular is a win for the budget. Honestly, it'd be rude not to.
