Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy on what they're going to do about that vasectomy.

Last night, Australia watched Sophie Monk pick millionaire publican Stu Laundy over keen gardener Jarrod Woodgate in The Bachelorette season finale.

Having met him before the show, it’s an outcome that could have saved us six weeks of being glued to our TV screens, but let’s not get pedantic.

The loved up couple have given their first interviews now their relationship is no longer top secret and have answered the question on everyone’s lips – what’s going to happen with Laundy’s vasectomy?

Having expressed her desire for children from the start, it initially threw a spanner in the works when the 44-year-old told Monk about his operation which he had 10 years ago.

“Whenever someone looks towards a vasectomy, the doctors told me all the options and my ex-wife and I decided at the time, we planned ahead. You never want to say never so we planned ahead,” Laundy told Now To Love.

“I’ve got a couple of different options to have children again.”

“(The vasectomy) doesn’t really matter because it can be reversed pretty quickly or regardless I could go freeze my eggs and chuck ’em over to wherever he’s got his sperm banked,” Monk told news.com.au.

“We have two options but we haven’t really discussed them yet. We should probably go out and have a meal first,” added Laundy.

While the pair have spoken about marriage in the future, there’s a small matter of Laundy’s divorce to take care of first before it can even be considered. The publican says they are “very, very close” to finalising so they can “move on and co-parent our children”.

Laundy told Popsugar his children were the reason why he might have appeared to ‘hold back’ about his feelings throughout the show.

“[My daughters] were in the back of my mind in every single scene, and every second. They’re my four littles, I call them. And I just didn’t want to embarrass them, I didn’t want to embarrass their mother, it was a big gamble for me,” he said.

“I was never disingenuous, but I was really cognisant of that in the background. So I know that people will probably think I was playing the guarded role, but I just had a couple of little angels on my shoulder.”

While Laundy hasn’t confirmed whether Monk has met his daughters, he said they had given their seal of approval.

“I’ve actually had positive feedback from the kids. They’ve been pretty happy with their old dad,” he told Now To Love.
