Brynne Edelsten invited Warnie for a nightcap. But when Warnie turned up, he was ambushed.

Sure, Brynne Edelsten enjoys the spotlight, but enough to sell out a friend?  That seems to be what Shane Warne was suggesting on social media this morning.

The pair were among a host of high-profile personalities attending the All in For Charity poker tournament in Geelong last night. There was money raised, fun had and jolly drinks afterward. But then the clock struck 1am, and it all went sour.

The cricket legend penned a fiery Facebook and Instagram post about the evening, in which he claims that after all the fundraising and frivolity, Brynne invited him over to her house for a nightcap. The problem was he says, she also invited the paparazzi.

“Some people never cease to amaze me,” the peeved spinner began. “Listen to this one.”

And listen they did. So far more than 1500 people have liked the above post, and Lord knows (and also probably Zuckerberg) how many more have seen it.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of the comments beneath it are in support of the sporting legend (it is his page after all).

But there were a few who keen to point out that perhaps Shane wasn't entirely innocent.

There's still radio silence on Brynne's social media accounts. Mamamia also reached out to her for comment but she is yet to respond.
